His words only prompted another violent shudder. Lou Ellen’d been sinking back into the very corners of her mind, but somehow that sentence got through. If only a little bit.

It was known that the blonde girl had nightmares ever since the Battle of Manhattan happened…

He considered making a crack about Sleeping Beauty and what it had taken to wake her up, but he decided that that would be too much. Besides, the original tale was quite disturbing and not at all child-friendly.

His fingers were but mere puppets to desperation, and so they wrapped around her ankles. ‘If you don’t wake up, I’m going to pull and your face is going to meet the floor.’

And with that, her tranquil state had been broken. The weak barrier spell she’d put up around the couch, to ward off nightmares, dissipated about as quickly as Lou had managed to put it up before she fell asleep.

A slender had tried to swat at the hand that had tugged at her own arm. Lou Ellen attempted to roll on over. Her eyes were still closed.

She wasn’t opening them anytime soon, it seemed. Come on Louis, you can do better than that, can you not? Show it. Prove it

A violent shiver coursed down her spine, and the blonde moaned but a simple word: “N-No.”

A valiant attempt to muffle an exasperated groan was made. Fingers would be pointed if he failed to coax her out of bed and into the Dining Pavilion. Racking his brains and grasping at the first thing that came to mind, he raised his voice to make sure that his words would be perceived past whatever sleep-induced haze blanketed the blonde——

'Really, Lou Ellen. If you wanted to be treated like a ρяιηcєѕѕ and have me carry you, you could have just said so.’

Whatever it is,
that you want…

…that’s gonna have
to wait, a whiile.

She ain’t got no time for this, for waking up.
She’s sound asleep. Nightmareless, for once the blonde is nightmareless!
You had better not disturb her, good sir.

For if you do, Lou Ellen Katherine Hewitt,
she’ll not be a happy camper, no sirree.

Hands rub the goosebumps erupting on pale arms as eyes of melted chocolate stare at the sleeping camper. Never before had someone sleeping looked so dangerous. ‘But she’s sleeping, that Hecate kid had said. 'C'mon; a favor for the one I did for you a month ago. I don’t want her to steal my nose!’

Well, Louis didn’t want her to steal his nose either, but there wasn’t much he could do about it.

'Hey,’ he whispered, tugging awkwardly at the arm of the slumbering girl that he had never spoken to before. ’…uh, Lou Ellen. It’s time for dinner.’
