“That sounds dumb. I don’t wanna be patient.”
[ he’s almost upset enough to get into a tantrum, but then he
remembers.— they’re gonna play Hogwarts. ]
“So are you gonna be the professor, Louis?”

[ ♔♚♔ ]
{ he was about to point out that the youngster
didn’t really have a choice, but then he realized
that he didn’t want an angry lysander in his
hands. }
'Anything you want, kiddo.
But we’ve still got to go through the Sorting, right?
{ which one would he be? mcgonagall or the hat?
both, probably. f a n t a s t i c . }
“Well, duh.”
[ as though this obviously was the most obvious thing in the
entire world. ]“Mummy says we’re not allowed wands until we’re bigger. But
wands are little anyway!”[ he doesn’t understand this at all. wands are fun — why can’t they
have fun too? ]

[ ♔♚♔ ]
'Just be patient, kiddo,’
{ he says, clapping the child on the back.
in that moment, nostalgic memories filled his mind,
of when he had complained of the very same thing. }
'I understand that you’re excited.
But you’ll be at Hogwarts soon enough,
complaining about the schoolwork you
have to work on.’
“It’s easy, Louis.”
[ he probably already knows how to play anyway. he’s already
been to hogwarts. ]“Me and Lorcan get sticks and pretend we’re holding wands
and we run around and get Sorted and do magic and stuff.”

[ ♔♚♔ ]
'Wait——
just pretend, all right? I’m supposed to be babysitting you, and part of my duties is to make sure that you don’t burn the house down.’
{ so basically, they were going to act like they were in hogwarts?
louis wondered what role (or roles, more likely) would be assigned
to him. }
“Let’s play Hogwarts. That’s the best game.”
[ all his earlier reluctance is already forgotten — he wasn’t
really not going to play with louis. louis was the best weasley. ]
[ ♔♚♔ ]
‘Sure. Would you mind explaining the rules, kiddo?’

{ he could recall no such game from his childhood;
perhaps the twins had developed it themselves?
children, he knew, could be quite cяєαтινє. }
“Fine, I guess we can play together.”
[ ♔♚♔ ]
Not many people knew this,
but he considered himself
quite good with children.
To his eyes, the little buggers
were adorable.
'All right, then. Since I
asked, why don’t you
pick the game?’
